I also would say, now we have 3 mills and a waterjet but in the future we could have a lathe also or a mill from another brand.Īnybody who can help after long reading? Thanks Kurt Thats important because the design department draws only with AutoCad, the have recently switcht to AutoCad 2015 ( i still have 2007). So i'm looking for 1 package that has everything in it or Cam software that works fine with AutoCAd. My boss has AlphaCam on his computer but won't buy it for me because it's very expensive, he says. Programs for the waterjet are made by Columbus (Cam soft that came with the ESAB waterjet). Programs for the CMS are made with WinTools (Cam soft that came with the CMS and made by DDX.it 12 years ago), programs for the Reichenbacher are also made by WinTools but i don't have a post so i have to adjust them manually. We scan it first so that the lines are exactly 1mm deep on the whole lenght.ĭrawings are made with AutoCAd LT saved as a dxf and then import in our cam software. When we mill aluminium, we scan first the surface (let's say 5 lines) and then we mill 5 lines in the aluminium with a dept of 1mm. We do 90% 2d work, milling holes in plywood or MDF (40mm) or aluminium with a thickness of 2.5mm max on the mills. We have 1 mill from CMS 5 axis (see picture below), 2 mills from Reichenbacher 1 x 5 axis and 1 x 4 axis. We have 3 milling machines with a table of 1550mm x 3050mm and 1 waterjet. Hi, because of our switch between Win XP to Win 7 we have to get a new CAD/CAM or CAM software but i don't have a clue wich one.
